Migration to a New PC in Cannes
Have you just bought a new PC in Cannes? Before you use it, I transfer your old environment identically: documents, installed software, Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, emails, photos. You start up exactly as before, just on new hardware.
Moving from an old PC to a new one is often a stressful experience: you lose important files, you forget to retrieve passwords, some software isn't reinstalled, and the environment is no longer exactly as before. In the end, you hesitate to get rid of the old PC 'just in case'. My migration service solves all of that.
What I transfer as standard: documents (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, personal folders), software (reinstalling the programs you use, with their licences), settings (browser bookmarks, Outlook/Thunderbird emails, saved Wi-Fi and application passwords), and the visual environment (wallpapers, shortcuts, folder organisation).
In Cannes, the work is done ideally at your home: you give me access to both machines at the same time, I transfer, I test with you that everything works, and I explain what has changed. Budget for 2 to 4 h depending on the amount of data. If you prefer, it's also possible at the workshop in Le Cannet — you bring me both PCs.

Yes, it's a case I handle regularly in Cannes. Migration of documents and photos to the Mac, setting up Pages/Numbers/Keynote to replace Office if you wish (otherwise Office for Mac exists), Mail.app instead of Outlook, iCloud in place of OneDrive. A complete service, with training included.
Can my old software (Office 2010, Photoshop CS6) be transferred?expand_more
It depends. The old Office versions (2010, 2013) can often be reinstalled if you have the key. The Adobe Creative Suite versions (CS6 and earlier) too. For Adobe Creative Cloud or Office 365 subscriptions, it's even simpler: I reconnect you with your login details.

No need to transfer — Gmail is in the cloud, you log back in on the new PC and it's all already there. I simply set up the mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird or Mail.app) with your login details if you use a local client rather than the browser.
What do I do with the old PC?expand_more
Three options: 1) keep it as a backup for a few months (then secure erasure), 2) give it to a relative after cleaning and a fresh install, 3) eco-friendly recycling (I can take care of it, free). Your choice.
