24 to 48 h on average. The cloning itself takes 1-3 h depending on the amount of data, but I group jobs together to make the best use of the schedule. I can do an express same-day job if you have a work emergency.
Which SSD capacity should I choose?expand_more
For ordinary use (office work, internet, a moderate number of photos): 500 GB is plenty. If you store videos, large photo collections or play recent games: 1 TB. 250 GB only if you really have very little data.
Do I keep my old hard drive?expand_more
Yes, by default. I return it to you in a USB enclosure that I provide, which turns it into a handy external backup drive. If you'd rather I recycle it, I do so free of charge (secure wiping guaranteed).
Does my older Mac (2014 iMac, 2015 MacBook Pro) also benefit from an SSD?expand_more
Enormously! The Intel iMacs and MacBook Pros of 2014-2017 are the machines that gain the most from an SSD upgrade. Many of my Cannes clients have extended the life of their Mac by 4-5 years with this simple change. Reckon on €80-120 of labour + the price of the SSD.
